The International Studies in Agricultural and Life Sciences minor provides transformative educational experiences that equip students with a global perspective; enhancing their understanding of agriculture, ecology, and life sciences, and preparing them for careers in a globally connected world.

About this Program

Courses must be approved by the associate dean of the college.

Components

The minor has three components:

  1. International experience(s) totaling at least 21 days in an approved: study abroad program, a cooperative work experience, research experience, or an internship.
  2. 9-12 credits in courses with an international focus and technical content related to agricultural and life sciences, selected from the list of approved courses or completed abroad as part of an approved study program.
  3. 3-6 credits that focus on the history, social organization, culture or language of a nation or region abroad, selected from the list of approved courses or completed abroad as part of an approved study program.
