The Hebrew minor offers an immersive experience for students who wish to develop their Hebrew language skills. Courses are taught in Hebrew and are aimed at the development of listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills within course content focused on Israeli and Jewish literature, film, thought, history, and politics.

Home to 15 different language programs, the Department of Languages, Literatures, and Cultures (LLC) offers training in languages and cultures from all corners of the globe. From Swahili to Italian, Russian to Vietnamese, LLC gives students the opportunity to become cross-cultural experts in an increasingly internationalized world.

 Curriculum

Students must complete a minimum of six credits of coursework exclusive to the minor that cannot count toward the major(s) or other minors.

Students with background or prior study in Hebrew may be eligible to replace some language instruction courses other Hebrew content courses. Please consult with the faculty in the Bud Shorstein Center for Jewish Studies.
